Who we are

Liminal Daily is a product of Kairos Labs LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. We provide a personalized daily spiritual practice delivered by email and SMS. For privacy-related questions, contact us at privacy@liminaldaily.com.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the service:

• Account information — your name and email address, provided when you create an account.
• Spiritual preferences — what you're seeking, which wisdom traditions resonate with you, your chosen journey path, and optional personalization details. You provide these during onboarding and can update them at any time in Settings.
• Delivery preferences — your preferred delivery channel, send time, and timezone.
• Journal entries — reflections you choose to write in the app. These are private and visible only to you, with one exception: entries are automatically screened using keyword matching to help identify situations where someone may be in crisis. Flagged entries may be reviewed by a member of our team for the sole purpose of sharing crisis resources — never for any other purpose.
• Engagement signals — whether you opened an email, saved a teaching, or wrote a journal entry. Used only to improve your personal content experience.
• Payment information — processed securely by our payment provider. We never store your card details.
• Phone number — only if you choose SMS delivery.

How we use your information

• To generate and deliver your personalized daily teaching and affirmation
• To improve your content personalization over time based on what resonates
• To manage your subscription and process payments
• To send transactional emails and SMS messages
• To automatically screen journal entries for crisis-related language, so we can share relevant resources if needed
• To respond to support requests

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your spiritual preferences, journal entries, or personal context with anyone outside of Kairos Labs LLC, except as necessary to deliver the service.

Crisis screening

Because Liminal Daily engages with topics like grief, loss, and difficult life transitions, we use automated keyword screening on journal entries to help identify situations where someone may be in crisis. This screening is simple keyword matching, not clinical assessment or diagnosis. If an entry is flagged, a member of our team may review it solely to determine whether to share crisis resources with you — never to evaluate, judge, or use the content for any other purpose. This screening does not replace professional care; see our Content Disclaimer for crisis resources, including the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

AI-generated content

Your daily teachings and affirmations are generated using artificial intelligence. To personalize your content, we share limited context with our AI provider — including your first name, what you're seeking, your chosen traditions, and your journey path. We do not share your journal entries or payment information with any AI provider. All AI providers we work with are bound by data processing agreements that prohibit use of your information for training their models.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. We use row-level security to ensure your data is accessible only to you. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable and appropriate precautions to protect your information.

Email and SMS communications

By signing up for Liminal Daily, you consent to receiving your chosen daily teaching by email and/or SMS. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can update your delivery preferences or cancel at any time in Settings. We comply with CAN-SPAM and, where applicable, GDPR requirements. We will honor all opt-out requests within 10 business days.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your journal entries
• Opt out of all communications at any time

Cookies and analytics

We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We may use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the product in aggregate — this data is used solely to improve the service. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

Children's privacy

Liminal Daily is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at privacy@liminaldaily.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
